Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for Segment C – East Rail Extension & Intramodal Yard, Contract JF-1901-C, at the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville, Clark County, Ind., will be received at the office of the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville, 1402 Port Road, Jeffersonville, Ind., 47130, from bidders until 2:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on February 17, 2020, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the conference room of the Port administration building. All bidders are entitled to attend the bid opening.

The contract work is part of the Port of Indiana – Jeffersonville Tiger Grant, which work consists of installing approximately 5,670 LF extension of the railroad tracks along the east side of the port, an 846’ railroad siding, and a 3 acre intramodal paved yard at the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville. The scope of work includes installation of erosion control, earthwork, railroad tracks (subballast, ballast, ties, rail, turnouts), at-grade railroad crossing, 3-sided box culvert, relocation of approximately 974’ of North Access Drive, drainage improvements, a 3-acre asphalt pad, and all other work required to complete the project.

Bids shall be submitted on the proper bid form and delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidders, all as described in the Instructions to Bidders, which accompanies the specifications. A Bidder’s Bond, made payable to the PORTS OF INDIANA must be enclosed with the bid. Said bond shall be in the minimum amount of five percent of the maximum bid.

The contract for this work shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder who submits a bid for the performance of the work, however, the Ports of Indiana reserves the right to reject any or all bids at its discretion.

Project Plans and Specifications are on file and available to contractors at the Port’s administration office at 1402 Port Road, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
