Mount Vernon Railroad is an important part of the Mount Vernon transportation ecosystem, moving corn, soybeans, fertilizers, ethanol, dried distillers grains, minerals, and steel across the port. The railroad offers daily interchange services with Evansville Western Railway (EVWR) and has connections with Class I railroads CSX, NS, BSNF, and Union Pacific.
